Donor Rights Declaration
At the Charity and Solidarity Foundation, we believe that making a donation is a voluntary act and that sharing strengthens social solidarity.
We think that NGOs and their projects must earn the public’s trust and respect.
Therefore, we prioritize ensuring that donors and potential donors can make secure contributions. We declare that all donors have the following rights:
- To be informed about the NGO’s mission, vision, how donations will be used, and the capacity and intention to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
- To obtain information about the board of directors and managers, and to expect that managers perform their duties with prudence and integrity.
- To access current financial information.
- To request assurance that their donation will be used for its intended purpose.
- To receive an appropriate acknowledgment.
- To request confidentiality of their donation in accordance with the law.
- To expect that all interactions with the organization’s representatives are conducted at a professional level.
- To know whether the person requesting the donation is a volunteer, an employee, or someone external to the organization.
- To request removal of their contact information from lists if it will be shared with others.
- To ask questions when making a donation and to receive timely, accurate, and clear answers.
